September Host Code

September Host Code

I've set up a new host code for September.  It is   VJKUYH7E

Pop that on when you are checking out and I'll pop a little sample pack in the post for you next month.   Packaging up the latest batch of host code parcels this weekend.

I made a little video here that shares some tips for choosing your free Saleabration items and also shows where to put the host code when you're ordering online.  Sue's Online Store Video

How are you all going?  I am up to the 'cut the fringe' part of this lockdown.  Hair in the eyes and the start of hayfever season is not the best combo so time to get those scissors out.  Anyone else trying the DIY home hair salon.   Hang in there everyone.  xx

Take care and happy creating.

Stampin' Up Online Store Tips: Choosing Your Saleabration Items

Doing some craft supplies shopping online?  I put together this little run through of placing a Stampin' Up order.  It shows how to add the host code and also how to select your Saleabration freebies.  (Saleabration finishes the end of September.)

The view if you're using a tablet or phone is a little bit different but the same tabs are there in the sidebar.

Host code for August: VU6YSCCR

There are a bunch of free items to select as your freebie with every $90 you spend - choose from stamps, papers and dies.  Once you've selected your $90 or more of products from your wishlist just hit checkout and you'll see this screen where you select your free items.

If your order is over $180 you can either choose two of the ones above or you have these other couple of options as well.  (You'll need to click on that tab at the bottom that says Free With $180 Purchase to find these ones.

The Delicate Dahlias have been a popular choice.   There are a lot of cute sheep fans out there too - I've noticed those on quite a few selections.  That Be Dazzling sparkly paper is another one frequently selected.  What is your favourite from the 2021 Saleabration range?

Saleabration ends at the end of September.

If you've got HEAPS on your wish list it sounds like you would LOVE to join our friendly relaxed team.  During Saleabration it is an extra enticing offer.   Choose $235 of current items - anything at all - for just $169 with free shipping.  PLUS during Saleabration you can also pick one of these bundles FREE.

The cute penguin paper is one of the Saleabration choices.

And this gorgeous Be Dazzling specialty paper (6" x 6") reminds me of a glo mesh purse.  Here's a close up. So sparkly.  It is a pretty champagne colour.

Be Dazzling

Now one quick heads up - for Saleabration, the Be Dazzling paper and the Sheep dies and Summer Shadow dies are while stocks last so if those are on your list of favourite freebies, jump in early.  You will be able to add the other freebie choices for the full 2 months.

If you need to work your way up to thinking about Christmas - this gorgeous pack of Blackberry Beauty DSP and matching epherma pack caught my eye too.  Such rich, gorgeous colours.

Just a quick heads up (in between Olympics events - wink) to let you know that I just spotted the Expressions In Ink DSP back in store.  It has been out of stock and unorderable for a few weeks.  Looks like a shipment has arrived.  It would not surprise me if this one sells out again as it is so pretty.

Clean and Simple Card: Bloom Where You're Planted

Bloom Where You're Planted

This has been my go to card design lately when I'm getting started with a pack of Designer Series Paper.  Just punch out some rectangles with my favourite punch, add either some embossing or a few lines of scoring with my trimmer and add a greeting.  This Bloom Where You're Planted DSP is great for also fussy cutting a few of the pots to add with some dimensionals.  Some Genial Gems were one last finishing touch.

Lots of our patterned papers are on sale  - finishes end of July.  Check for your favourites here:  Patterned Paper Sale

Having a very very lazy day here at our place.  I've got a comfy spot all set up on the couch with a cosy throw rug and having a big day of Olympics watching (and biscuit eating!)  I think I should grab out my paper snips and some patterned papers - perfect spot for some fussy cutting.

Anyone else doing some creating in front of the Olympics?

Cheers and happy stamping, Sue

Christmas In July: Lockdown Distraction

Hey there.  Hope you are all keeping well.  It is a bumpy old year isn't it.  We've been a little bit grumpy and flat this week at various times so to pep up the mood a bit and distract us all from the news John suggested we have a Christmas In July today.

Table christmas

Grabbed one arm load of Christmas stuff from the garage to decorate the table (and managed to find some old bon bons.  Win.)  Pork has gone into the oven and the kids have been busy all afternoon making Christmas biscuits.  Lots of fun and a great way to shake off the blues.

Christmas In July

I had my second AZ jab yesterday and was happy to wake up this morning feeling fine - had a few days of the aches after my first dose so timed this one for a Friday in case I needed a quiet weekend, but seems to be no second dose side effects for me which was nice.  With numbers being a bit unpredictable I decided to bring forward my second one and had it at 8 1/2 weeks.

Aren't those roses on our table pretty.  I got them for Hannah to celebrate her getting a job.  Yay.  She's going to be working for a tutoring organisation.

I think it might be time to put the kettle on and have a cup of tea and one (or 10!) of these biscuits.  Yummy.  I hope you are finding ways to keep the spirits up.  Stay safe and take care.

xx Sue

Stampin' Up Ink Pad Tips For Beginners

Dusted off the video equipment and got back into the saddle!  Just a quick one this time to give a few little tips about our Stampin' Up ink pads - using the labelling stickers.  Also a quick little look at our new 2021-23 in colours, and ink refill storage ideas.  It is always a good idea I think to get the ink refill at the same time as you get your ink pad, then you can freshen it up with a few drops of reinker anytime.

I hope you're having a lovely weekend.  Very chilly here so the heater is blasting and we're having a cosy day at home.  Looking forward to a family catch up tomorrow to celebrate two upcoming family birthdays.

Sending a little shout out to my NSW customers, team and demo friends.

Stay well and we're thinking of you. Take care, Sue

Pansy Petal Cards

Pansy card 1

I enjoyed having a play with the Pansy Petal DSP. I’ve teamed it up with my newly found Rectangular Postage Stamp punch and the Basic Borders dies.  (I just knew as soon as I reordered that punch it would turn up and sure enough it did.)  The postage stamp punch is a great one for mixing and matching patterned papers.  The piece that I cut using our new Basic Borders dies has also had some texure added with the aptly named Tasteful Textile embossing folder.

I made this card using the leftover piece of white cardstock.  Great shape for teaming up with one of the patterned papers for a simple card.  I accidentally mixed my whites and did the base card with Basic White and the greeting shape with Shimmery White but I don't mind the contrast.

Pansy card 2

Choc puddingWe are just about to finish our latest lockdown here in Melbourne. Let's keep those fingers crossed we manage to keep COVID at bay for the remainder of winter. I hope you are keeping well and keeping those spirits up.  Looking forward to having my second jab in August.

I did enjoy my couple of days in at work with the prep students who were attending.  Next week back to my regular groups from grades 3 and 5 and I can't wait to see them again.  My two at home got bored today and decided to do some baking so we all had choc self saucing pudding for afternoon tea.  Yum - and bonus, there's leftovers for dessert.  (Interrupting my health kick for some delicious pudding - ha ha.)

Been a rather expensive week here - first my laptop decided it was on its last legs so I'm busy transferring files over to my new one and seeing how many assorted passwords I can remember.  :-)   Then I had a klutzy moment and dropped my Apple watch on the bathroom slate floor - which takes no prisoners.  So I'm watchless for the time being and realising how often I look at my wrist in the general course of the day.

Well that's about all my waffle for today.  Sending out creative energies and hope you get some craft time in your week.  What would we do without our hobbies.

Take care, Sue
