Baby Cards

Stampin' Up: Baby Card

I've got a baby card to share with you today.  This was one of the cards we made at class this month.  (I'll share the baby boy option another day.)

I do love Blushing Bride - such a nice dusky pink colour.  Perfect teamed up with Crumb Cake for a soft baby colour scheme.  Keep an eye out for my next newsletter (just working on it now) for a step by step on how we made the background panel.  There's a sign up box in the top right of my blog if you'd like to get some Stampin' Up news, specials and tips via email.  Just pop your email address in and click go.

We used the Baby We've Grown stamp set.  (Details here.)  Stamped in Soft Suede then I picked out a little colour using our Stampin' Write markers - Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.

The second smallest of the Squares Collection framelits was the perfect size to cut them out.  (My largest square punch was just a bit small for the Oh Baby stamp.)  Some sponging, lace and pearls to finish.

Always handy to have a few baby cards on hand for those beautiful new arrivals.

What Else Is News?

A few other bits of news from Stampin Up land now that I have a quiet day to catch up.  Our weekly deals are continuing on during May so keep an eye out in my online store for those each Wednesday.  They just last the week.  Here's this week's selection.

There are a few new things in the Clearance Rack too so you might like to take a peek there if you're placing an online order.

New Products:  Photopolymer Stamps

Stampin' Up have just launched their first photopolymer stamps in Australia.  We've got 2 sets available for May only, then there'll be some different sets in the new catalogue (just around the corner.)  Buy the 2 sets during May and you'll receive a free online class.  Our top-quality photopolymer stamps stick extremely well on our acrylic blocks, are durable, and the transparent nature of these sets makes it easier to line up your images without the need of a guide.  Particularly handy for alphabets and borders so keep an eye out for some of those coming soon.

Stampin' Up Baby Card

IMG_2909

This baby card started out as a little gift tag (the white bit.)  I matted it with old olive and added it to a base to welcome a gorgeous little guy into the world recently.  (Waving a hi Marco!)

It uses some retired products.  I love the buttons.  Amazing that some of my button collection made it onto an actual card - I usually hoard them a little like whatshisname from the Hobbit.  "My Precious."

Speaking of retiring - have a squiz through your holiday catalogue and if there's anything you'd be sorry to miss out on, you have until near the end of this month to order.   Lots (most) of this range will retire after that.

Happy January!

Cheers, Sue

Baby Congrats Card

Baby-card

A card for a friend who had a baby girl recently.   She looks such a sweet little baby - it is hard to remember when Hannah and Jack were that small.  Doesn't the time zip by quickly.

I've used my big heart punch, some embossing folders and the lovely heart stamp from Punch Potpourri (a hostess stamp set.)   This card was inspired by this one  that I loved by Tina Gillespie.

The SaleABration stamp set Bliss was handy to add a little something to a gift bag.

Babies, babies - I could almost get clucky.  Almost!   Think I'll settle for a little cuddle.

Cheers,  Sue
