Clean and Simple Cards

Artistic die card

Clean and simple is my favourite style of card.  Doesn't this branch die from the Artistic Dies look elegant silhouetted in black on a crumb cake base?  I've also used the Rectangle Stitched dies and the Bark Embossing Folder to add a little texture.  That snazzy greeting shape is from the Pierced Blooms dies.  One nice thing about putting my dies on black magnetic backing sheets is that it helps really highlight those extra ones you find in packs like this great shape.  I know I'll be using that one a lot.  Well worth throwing a pack of those adhesive backed Artistry Blooms sequins into your cart when you're next ordering - they're great colours and so easy to add to a project for a final simple flourish.

Sue gin Craft retreat set upHow are you?  I'm super grateful I managed to get away for a lovely craft retreat last weekend before the cases took off again and we are back to staying close to home.  A handful of friends and I went to Craftaways in Rye.  It is a great little place all set up for groups of up to 10 crafters or quilters.  Had a most enjoyable weekend of getting back into the creating mood again after a bit of a break away from the inks.  I was rather chuffed with myself that I managed to get all my craft gear unpacked and put away just after I got back - that sometimes takes me a few weeks.  Wink!

Hope you are keeping warm and keeping the spirits up.

Take care, Sue

Would you like a tour of my craft room?  I always love seeing people's craft spaces.  Here's mine on a sort of tidy day.  :-)

Have a Colourful Week

Sometimes all you need is a little splash of colour

One of the things I most love about Stampin' Up is the way their products are colour coordinated.  Match your inks to your cardstock to your papers to your embellishments.  It makes it super easy to create a coordinated looking project.

I'm starting to think about packing for a craft retreat this weekend.  I'm looking forward to a much overdue creativity burst but I'm a TERRIBLE craft supplies packer.  I always want to just take everything.  :-)

I hope there's some creative time in your week this week.

Have a lovely day.  Cheers, Sue

A May Hello

Sue bike Sue and gailHello and happy May to you.  We've had a lovely burst of sunny weather over the weekend here and it was nice to get out and enjoy it.  John just picked up my snazzy new ebike on Friday so the boys and I went out for a test ride on Saturday morning.  We rode in along the Maribyrnong River to the city, had a lovely brunch and this time with a bit of e power to give a boost I made it all the way home again too.  (Last year when I was just using leg power I conked out 2/3 of the way home and John had to ride home and come get me in the car - ha ha.)

I hope you've been keeping well.  I've been a little AWOL this year I must say.  It has been a rather bumpy start to 2021.  Lost a very close friend at Easter after a short illness.  Certainly does make you reassess priorities, hug loved ones and count blessings doesn't it.  My friend had been encouraging me and the other girls to get out and get active over the last few years so I'm working on channeling some bleaugh feelings into a bit of a health kick and lifestyle makeover.  A few weeks in it is certainly helping the energy levels.

I am a little behind on a few things but got back into the craft room today and am all set to catch up on some tasks.  People waiting on host code parcels - that's next on my list and apologies for the delay.  I'm popping some gorgeous new catalogue paper samples in so I hope that helps make up for the tardiness.

If you've ordered in the last 12 months I've organised a catalogue to be mailed to you using our mailing service.  They've been a little slow this year but I've just started hearing from customers that they received theirs late last week - Thursday and Friday.  Hopefully some more arriving in mailboxes early this week.  Our new catalogue officially kicks off on May 4th.

We've got a new host code for May.  It is N379STWP.

The online store has had a few little tweaks and the place that you put the host code has moved.  It is now above the shopping summary when you're in your cart. Click where it says 'Add Host Code' then type in the current one and press APPLY.  Voila - all set.  I'll pop a little sample pack in the post for you the following month.

When you get to the check out page - just double check it has the correct name for who you're shopping with.  I'm hearing it does occasionally have a little glitch there.  If it doesn't have the name you were expecting - press clear and pop the name of the demonstrator you're wanting to shop with in.

Host code new spot

That is a quick little May update.  Now that I've made it back into my craft room I'll have some card pics and creativity to share with you once again.

Take care everyone.  Love Sue
