Test Drive: Stampin' Seal and Stampin Seal+

Stampin seal picMy new Stampin' Seal adhesives arrived on Friday and I've been giving them a test drive.

Stampin' Seal is our everyday adhesive and Stampin' Seal+ is extra strong for when you're working with heavier elements or need some added sticking power (such as with 3D projects.)

They're both acid free and photosafe, and the rolls are 15m.  You can purchase refills for each once they run out.

Browse or shop adhesives here:    Sue's Store Adhesive Section

I put together this little video to introduce you to the newest addition to our adhesive range and to share a few tricks for how to get the best out of them.

This video also features a couple of cards made using our new Boho Indigo Product Medley.   You can find that here:   Boho Indigo kit

Hope all that comes in handy.  I'll put these new products through their paces over the coming weeks and update my review then.

Don't forget our joining special ends at the end of June so not long to go now.  This tempting offer has been too good to resist for a few of my customers who have joined the team in the last few days.  We'd love to welcome you too.   For just $169 you'll get to choose $235 of current products PLUS you get free shipping and you get to choose a free stamp/punch or stamp/die bundle.   Lots and lots to choose from.  Get in touch if you've got questions and I'd be happy to help.  Or head straight here to fill in the form and join the fun:  Join Sue's Team

Couple of little tips with the online joining form - it doesn't play well on ipads/phones.  Best to use a computer.  Make your list of products then you're all set to fill in the details.  Phone/text or email me if you have any troubles.

Happy stamping!

Cheers, Sue

Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Blends

Ink and colouring (2)

Who loves a bit of relaxing colouring?  I find it very therapeutic so am always on the lookout for stamps that are beautiful to colour.

I've put together a video taking a closer look at our Stampin' Write Markers and our Stampin' Blends.  What is the difference between the two?  How can you use your markers to make a multicoloured image and what results do you get when you colour with them?  The first half of the video runs through all that.  The second half of the video shows putting together a variation on one of the cards for anyone wanting to follow along step by step.

Hope it comes in handy.  Let me know if you've got any questions about any of our colouring products.  Happy to help.

Cheers, Sue

Stampin' Up! Adhesives: Our New Stampin' Seal

Adhesives

Did you know we've got some great new adhesives in our range.   Our Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Seal+ are in stock now and ready to be ordered.

Let's have a look at a few of the products available for all your papercrafting needs.

Adhesives 2From top to bottom here we have

* Stampin' Dimensionals:  Our favourites for adding some height to layers.   These great foam tabs are a must have for papercrafting.  Did you know they come in 2 sizes - regular and mini and we also have them in black.  This is a great option if you're working with darker cardstock colours.

* Multipurpose Glue:  I love love love this.  Just scribble on some glue and you get that handy few seconds of wriggle room to straighten things up a bit.  Helps me have less wonky in my projects - wink!  Includes a narrow tip and a broad tip.   A strong bond which dries clear.  Ideal for cardstock and paper, embellishments, glitter, 3D objects and accents, and detailed die cuts.

* Fine Tip Glue:   Do you like working with those tiny lightweight embellishments like sequins?  This is a handy one for you then.  Perfect for adhering small embellishments, glitter, and detailed die cuts to projects. Cap includes pin to keep the tip clear and prevent drying.  Also doubles as an eye sight test getting that pin back into the right spot - ha ha.  I've been a little rough with my fine tip glue bottles and sometimes bend that pin, but if you are a more careful crafter this one might suit be a good one for the collection.

* Stampin' SEAL:  This is our newest addition.  It is an everyday adhesive that bonds instantly and neatly, like our Snail adhesive did.  This is a little stronger and there's more on the roll - 15m.   Trivia:  SEAL stands for Simple Easy Adhesive Laydown.

* Stampin' SEAL+:  Stampin' SEAL plus is a super-strength adhesive that bonds instantly and neatly.  It is perfect for heavier layers or small 3D items.  Stampin’ SEAL+ is perforated for easy separation after laydown.

Note: The case can be used interchangeably for both Stampin’ SEAL and Stampin’ SEAL+ so refills will fit both.   (They are a different shape to our previous Snail adhesive and won't fit those Snail cases.)

Glue dotsAnother newcomer to our adhesives range is the foam adhesive sheets.  They come in packs of 6 sheets  (11 x 11.4cm) for $14 and can be cut with scissors or with open dies.   Another handy one to have in the collection.

We've also got regular adhesive sheets back in our range.  These are SO handy for those delicate dies.  Adhere the sheet to your cardstock, run it through with the die then peel off the backing.  They come in packs of 12 (6" x 12" in size.)

Tear and Tape:  Strong adhesive with tearable paper backing for easy sticking. Perfect for adhering 3D items and large embellishments.  This is like our old red tape but has the advantage of being tearable instead of needing to be cut with scissors.  A nice strong one that is useful if you like to make boxes and other 3D projects.

And of course - can't talk about adhesives without one of my favourites - our glue dots.  Instant dots of adhesive. No fumes, no mess, no drying time. Holds heavier embellishments, ribbon, cardstock, and detailed die cuts.  You get 300 on a roll.

What's your favourite adhesive?

I'm excited because my box of new catalogue goodies has just arrived.  Perfect timing - just as I finished my teaching week and have a nice 4 days ahead at home to get creative and play with some new products.  I'll be back soon with some projects to share.

Have a great weekend.

Cheers, Sue

Prized Peony Bundle By Stampin' Up!

Prized peony suite

I love this beautiful bundle - Prized Peony stamps and dies.  Such a pretty flower and a great set for colouring.  Find it here:  Prized Peony Bundle

Prized peony card

It looks like a great stamp to practice shading with our Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to get those lovely light and dark shades and add some depth to your image.

You can find Stampin' Blends alcohol markers on pages 142 and 143 of your catalogue or here  (Shop Stampin' Blends)  in most of our colours.  They're listed in the bottom row of each colour family grid.  They come in packs of 2 - a light and a dark - for the colours listed and are $15.50 per pack.  I like to use them with Memento Black ink, or you might like to emboss your image first.

The card above has been coloured with our waterpainters and a Gorgeous Grape ink pad.  There are so many great colouring options.  What is your favourite?

Prized peony suite 2

This suite pairs nicely with the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. It features the colours Petal Pink, Gray Granite and Basic Gray.  Such a lovely combination.

Prized peony bundle

I can't wait to have a play with this suite once my parcel arrives.  When Hannah was a baby a friend gave us a bunch of peonies as a welcome baby gift.  One of my favourite flowers ever since - so beautiful.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.  I'm so excited to have a nice 3 day weekend.  We are off one of the days (with my siblings) to visit mum and dad - it seems ages since we saw them. We're playing it on the safe side and gathering outside in their pergola area with lots of hand sanitiser first and a no hugs policy.  Will be strange but best to be on the safe side.  I can't wait to see everyone.  Pasties and pies from the local bakery for lunch and all rugged up in our warm clothes and beanies.  Sounds fab.  I feel like we'll all appreciate a lot of the little things after this experience of 2020.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Take care, Sue

If you're one of my lovely customers - don't forget to select me as your demonstrator when you are shopping online.  :-)

A few orders have come through today. I love seeing what has caught your eyes.  Would love to see what you create so if you feel like sharing, just email or text a pic once you get creating.  Here's a few of the things I popped in my shopping cart today - looking forward to having a play and sharing some ideas for ways to use them in the coming weeks.

Boho indigo product medley

Love this Boho Indigo product medley on one of the first pages in the catalogue.  Product medleys have a whole bunch of coordinating products then you let your imagination loose and see what you can create.  I thought this one looked beautiful with all those lovely blues.

Pattern play cards 2

This set of alphabet dies was also one of the first things on my list.  Love the sizing of these and they're quite a bit more budget friendly than what alphabets have been in past years.  Love the samples above where they've used the letter window too (is that the right term?)    And this set has numbers too so they're always handy for those special numbered birthdays.

Pattern play bundle

Pattern play card

I didn't have a post it note on this next bundle initially but it has been STALKING me the last weeks.  Demonstrators could get this one in their preorder in May and I've just loved some of the samples I've seen made with it.  I didn't think I was a bird person but apparently I now am.  ;-)

Birds cards

Birds and branches bundle

Lots more in my cart today but I'll save some for another post.

Get in touch if you've got any questions about any products.  Our new online store format launched today too - let me know if you have any trouble.  I'd love to hear what you think of the great new functions.  Aren't the lovely product and project photos nice and big and clear in this new format.  I enjoyed that part.

Cheers, Sue
