Stampin' Up! Stock Update

Hello folks. Just keeping you in the loop with the state of the warehouse shelves.  We've all been busy shopping and a few items are running off the shelves faster than anticipated.

The cake builder punch and the butterfly duet punch are running low so get in quick if you'd like those.   New shipments are due mid March.

I'm off for a very overdue dip in the dye pot and have my fingers crossed the salon has air conditioning.

Take care,  Sue

AWH January Blog Hop: Occasions Catalogue

January blog hop

Hello!  Nice to be back creating at my newly tidied and decluttered craft desk this week.  Still some piles to finish sorting in the dining room but the desk is all set up ready to go.

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects using product from the occasions catalogue. The occasions catalogue is current until June 3rd. Request your copy of the catalogue and saleabration brochure today.  Sale-a-bration is also a great time to join our fabulous team. Ask anyone on the blog hop if you’d like more details.

Butterflies

I enjoyed having a play with some new favourites from the Occasions Catalogue and some Saleabration freebies too.  Butterfly products always make their way into my shopping cart.

Base: Whisper White Thick.  This and shimmery white are my two favourite cardstocks I think.   The smaller white layer is embossed with the beautiful new Lacy Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder.  One of the thick ones so you only need one acrylic plate when embossing.  I've matted it with the coordinating colour Grapefruit Grove to tie in with the colours in the butterflies.

I've punched the butterflies from the Saleabration Botanical Butterfly DSP using the Butterfly Duet Punch.  Several of the sheets have butterflies that punch out using this punch - quite handy.  Especially on hot days like this when I'm looking for a few shortcuts.  There is a beautiful butterfly stamp set that coordinates with this punch too.  It looks nice if you curl the wings a little.  A bone folder would work but I just used my thumbnail.

The wooden elements are from Butterfly Elements - another one of your freebie choices with a $90 purchase.  I love these - it has butterflies, flowers and leaves.  Be careful with the leaves - they're delicate so a nice gentle touch helps.  (Ask me how I know - ha ha.)  I've used glue dots for the wooden bits and punched butterflies.

For a little added sparkle I've popped on some of the self adhesive gingham gala sequins.  I've been using sequins much more since we've started carrying adhesive backed ones - makes it much easier.

I decided to leave off a greeting so it can be an all occasion card.  I think I'll add a greeting inside when I send it to someone.

Thanks for stopping by on your way around the hop.     Happy stamping,  Sue

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, our talented team leader,  Claire Daly.

Craft Room Clean Up #437

It is January and I've been binge watching some of the decluttering shows on Netflix (Tidying Up and others.)  So I got a bit carried away when clearing the top of my craft desk yesterday and before you know it I'd emptied half the room!  I'm working on thinking carefully about how I want to use the space and only bringing back in the things I really want to be there then 'moving on' the rest.  Anyone else doing a bit of a January declutter?

Here's a few progress pics.  My desk had actually been relatively tidy til I dumped a whole bunch of things on it while getting ready to host Christmas.  I decided it needed a bigger overhaul though - too much clutter that I don't use often or at all.

So now the desk and bookshelf are just about empty.

And I have a giant giant mess in our dining room.  Time to get cracking and dive into that today!  Wish me luck or it'll be a while before we can eat dinner there!!

Mess 2

Have you got any January decluttering projects on the go?  Wishing you all the best with clearing out some of the clutter we seem to accumulate.

Need a bit of help or guidance to declutter and sort your craft space?  My stamping friend Tina (find her over at Scissors Paper Cards) told me about this 30 day craft room declutter challenge by JenniferMaker - full of great free step by step tips.  Here's the link.  30 Day Challenge

Saleabration is in full swing.  Read all about how to get your freebies here

Stampin' Up! Australia is moving warehouses at the moment so orders placed this week may take a couple of extra days to arrive.  Due to be back in full swing next week.  The new warehouse is using an eco air pocket style biodegradable packing material instead of the reams (and reams) of brown paper we've used in the past.  So we are waving farewell to our brown paper.  (I've saved a ton of it to use in the guinea pig cage.)  I'm in two minds really on it as I'm not a fan of anything plastic and would like to know a bit more about the biodegradability but although the paper was recyclable - gosh there was always SO MUCH of it, didn't seem very environmentally friendly.  Complicated issue isn't it.

Brown paper

I think we need a pretty card pic to finish.  Hoping to achieve stellar results this weekend and to come back soon with an after pic (please, please, please - eek!)  Then I can get back to creating.  I think I'm going to start with butterflies - I'm just LOVING all the new butterfly related products we have.

Have a fabulous weekend.

OK time to roll the sleeves up Sue Madex!!

Happy stamping!

The butterfly paper is beautiful too and the 5 pack of pretty ribbons is another favourite.  The ribbons work so well with the gingham paper from the Occasions range.

Of course - get in touch if you've got any questions.  I'd be happy to help.  My team is a friendly bunch with a mix of

  • people who are gathering little groups for a craft session or class and
  • those building an online work from home business.

Whatever you'd like to do, you'll be welcome in my Think Ink team.  This is a terrific time to join.
