Computer Issues

Computer issues
Nov class peekHey folks!  We're having a few computer issues with our current sale.

Please let me know if you're trying to order in my online store and experiencing any problems and I'll endeavour to help.

Have a fabulous weekend and hope you can squeeze in some creative time.

Two spots left for class this Thursday 7.30pm and one spot left Friday 10am.  We're doing the baby wipe technique and making 4 Christmas cards.  Here's a peek at one of them.

Class fee is $25 and I'm in Avondale Heights, in Melbourne's west.  Get in touch to grab a spot in our last 2018 card classes.  We'll kick off again in 2019.

Happy stamping!

Cheers, Sue

AWH November Blog Hop

It is blog hop time again and this month we're having a sketch challenge.

Card sketch

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring a card sketch. We hope you like how we have each put our own spin on the sketch and that it inspires you to get creative and make some fabulous cards. If you are inspired by the sketch, please share with us!

Card sketch 2

I decided to hunt through the shelves and find a stamp set I hadn't inked up yet and picked Pressed Flowers.  Isn't it lovely?

I've used my Stampin' Write markers to ink up the various flowers and leaves - Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive were the markers for this project.   Stampin' Write markers are terrific if you're wanting a multicoloured image. Just use the brush end and colour directly onto the rubber.  Copper foil added a touch of shine for the trim on this panel.

For the greeting strip I stamped off the netting stamp (Crumb Cake ink) once so the greeting would show better.  The greeting is from First Frost stamp set.

Whisper White thick cardstock makes a fabulous base for white cards.  I'm just about out of it so will be stocking up during our Papers and Embellishments sale tomorrow.  Great time to go and do a cardstock stocktake.  Missing any favourite colours?

I can't wait to see how the rest of the girls have been inspired by the sketch.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the very talented, Ros Davidson.   Ros coordinates our blog hop and does a fabulous job of keeping us all organised.  We're very grateful.  Thanks Ros.

Week 23 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop: Gray Granite

Colour creations banner

Gray graniteI think I've missed a week here and there - it is DEFINITELY term 4 at our place, the one where the wheels fall off occasionally!

I've made it this week in time though and our colour today is Gray Granite.  I'm really loving this new addition to our neutral range.  It is a slightly warmer tone.

I took inspiration this week from our Mt Macedon hike today.  (We managed to avoid the heavy rain for a nice walk in the mists.)  I love all the beautiful tree trunk colours and lately have been experimenting with using the Woodland embossing folder and some shimmer paint.  Gray-granite-1

Here's a few of my forest inspiration pics.  It was a very gray granite sort of sky I must say!

I used Gray Granite cardstock with some extra matching ink sponged over the trunks.  Then I painted some Frost White shimmer paint over the trunks.  Love the silvery effect it gives.  I trimmed the panel with Shimmery White and also copper foil. The greeting is sponged with some of the copper shimmer paint.  Just a simple card but I really am liking these tree trunks.

I'm putting the feet up this evening after our 8km over a bumpy, muddy trail.  We were all quite happy to get back to the car with no rolled ankles or muddy slips.  I'll be back next week with our next colour.

Check out the rest of the crew's fabulous gray granite creations over here:  Catherine's blog and the link list

Happy stamping!

Cheers, Sue

Stampin' Up!: Snowflake Showcase November Only

November is here (isn't the end of the year rapidly approaching!) and it is time for our Snowflake Showcase.  I love snowflake themed Christmas cards - even though it is often roasting here on Christmas day.  What about you?  If you love them too - check out the November only product release.  You'll find them here:  Snowflake Showcase Shop Now

There are two stamp sets, a coordinating set of thinlits, some gorgeous trinkets and the luxurious white velveteen sheets.

Aren't these just lovely ….

Pop on over to the link above to shop now.  Available during November while stocks last.

I think I need a bit of therapeutic crafting to distract from rather a lot of back and forth with Telstra/NBN sorting out some internet issues over the last couple of weeks - always fun hey! and assisting the teen of the house with keeping on an even keel with the last of the assignments of the year and Yr 10 exam revision.  Definitely on the countdown til Christmas in our house this week.  Looking forward to some nice craft time on Friday.  (Mailing out a big batch of host code parcels if you're waiting on one too!)

Have a fab week.

Sending a shout out to everyone with year 12s in the house at the moment.  Wishing them all the best with their exams, and wishing you all the best as chief supporters keeping them fed and popping in a pep talk or two.  ;-)

Cheers, Sue
