Week 14 AWH Colour Creations: Crushed Curry
September 04, 2018
Tuesday evening so it is time for our AWH Colour Creations blog hop.
This week we're featuring Crushed Curry. Not a colour I use often so I was a bit keen to give this one a go.
I did a simple version and a stepped up version. Can't quite decide which one I like better. I'm a pretty simple sort of girl so leaning a bit towards the stripped down version.
I just LOVE the new Frosted Floral Specialty DSP in the Holiday Catalogue (going live tomorrow - yay!) It has a gorgeous sheen to all the sheets. I especially love the muted designs like this one in grey. I thought it would team beautifully with black and crushed curry.
I've sponged some Crushed Curry ink on the base and stamped some of the lovely textured stamps from Gallery Grunge stamp set too. The layers for the greeting are done with Stitched Labels and Stitched Shapes framelits.
I sponged some Crushed Curry ink onto the white polka dot tulle ribbon too for just a little more texture.
Some black rhinestones teamed well with the Classic Label punch.
It was nice to get creating with a colour I don't use frequently. Might have to get it out more often.
Head on over to Catherine's blog for the full list of participants: Catherine Proctor
We'll be back next Tuesday with Daffodil Delight - a perfect colour for the start of Spring!
Happy Stamping.
Cheers, Sue
Oh nice one I love that gray DSP with the crushed curry they really compliment each other.

I didn't want the paper until I saw your card. I like them both but the stepped up version grabs me more.

Wow, I love your grungy card with all those stitched layers, but the depth of the muted colour is so different to the brightness I think of as Crushed Curry. So clever.

Oh what a gorgeous colour combination Sue! I'm not a yellow person at all, but your stepped up version of your card is simply stunning and I love the colouring and addition of the tulle ribbon.

Gorgeous! I hadn't noticed that paper in the Frosted Floral pack. It's so pretty and looks great with Crushed Curry. Neat trick with the ribbon too.

Sue, I actually can't decide which card I like more because they are both so beautiful. Thank you for hopping along tonight!
