Stitched Seasons Framelits - Last Day To Order

Petal promenade

Last day today to order the Stitched Seasons framelits if you were hoping to have them in your collection before they're gone for good.  Very versatile shape there in 3 sizes plus some other decorative elements.  I've used two of the framelits to make this frame for the pretty Petal Promenade DSP.  Shimmery White and Petal Pink cardstock coordinate well.

You can click the product links below to shop or phone/email your order through this afternoon/evening if you're wanting to grab them before they're gone.

Happy stamping and have a great weekend.  Basketball season has finished here so a nice unbusy Saturday.  Hoping to make it a nice crafty one.

Cheers, Sue

AWH Heart Of Christmas: Week 3

Heart of christmas blog hopBack with you again for our AWH Heart Of Christmas Week 3.

Each Wednesday night we're bringing you a Christmas creation.

Check the link at the bottom for projects from the rest of the crew.

I thought I'd give Cross Stitched Christmas stamp set a whirl this week.

Awh-christmas-week-3

Now the stamparatus is very handy for this card.  It helped me get the 3 layers of tree lined up nicely and I could try out a few colour variations while it was all set up. For my first attempt my two greens were a bit too alike so I tried again with this one using Pear Pizzazz and Shaded Spruce with Poppy Parade for the highlights.  The beauty of the stamparatus is that once you've gotten the reading glasses out and done the work of getting it lined up nicely, you can do a bunch of cards before you pop it back in its case.

The gorgeous DSP is All Is Bright with some really lovely designs.  The Holiday Catalogue goes live on September 5th if you've got your eye on these or other products.

Awh-christmas-week-3b

I liked the greeting from this set.  Stamped in Poppy Parade and some red rhinestones to finish.

I've used the Stitched Seasons framelits again to cut out the tree panel.  Don't forget we're on the very last days for this one.  Once Friday is over and August is done - you won't be able to order this anymore.

Keen for some more festive inspiration.  Head on over to Claire Daly's blog for the full list and links to this week's Heart of Christmas crew.  Claire Daly's Blog Post

Week 13 AWH Colour Creations: Crumb Cake

Colour creations Crumb cakeWelcome back for Week 13 of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop.

This week the team are featuring the colour Crumb Cake - one of my staples.  Such a great colour that combines well with so many others.

There's a link down below to Catherine's blog for all the other participants.

I decided it was time to get out my Jar Of Love stamp set and coordinating framelits which I've had on the shelf for a while and haven't used yet.  I'm working on giving a bit of inky love to a few neglected sets while I'm on this creative burst.

The background stamp is Hardwood stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.  Jar is stamped on Shimmery White and I cut a slit in the top to poke the stems through.  The framelits cut out a bunch of the different leaves and flowers.

Crumb Cake goes so well with so many colours.  I teamed it with Blushing Bride and Highland Heather here for the flowers.  The leaves are Crumb Cake and stamped off Crumb Cake plus some small ones in Soft Sea Foam.

Crumb-cake-card-2

This ribbon is one of the many gorgeous ones in the Holiday Catalogue which goes live on September 5th.  It is called Braided Linen Trim and works well with the wood theme background I thought.

We'll see you next week for the next colour on the list which is Crushed Curry.  Hmmm that might challenge me a bit - not a colour I use often.  Will have to get the thinking cap on!

AWH Heart Of Christmas: Week 2

Heart of christmas blog hopHello and welcome to Week 2 of the Art With Heart team's Heart Of Christmas blog hop.  Each Wednesday evening we'll be bringing you a Christmas creation.  There's a link down the bottom where you can check out the cards from the other hoppers.

This week I had a few coppery products lying around so thought I'd assemble a card from leftovers.  Love this coppery Christmas addition to my card stash.

Copper-christmas

Tips and Tricks: The copper foil piece is embossed with 'Oh My Stars' embossing folder.  The leaves from Blended Seasons are embossed in white and coloured using the gorgeous shimmer paint coming up in the Holiday Catalogue.  Remember that stamp set is only until the end of August then it'll be gone for good.

Copper-christmas-2

I used my aquapainter to dip into the shimmer paint in the lids.  LOVE shimmer paint.  I daubed some onto the Merry stamp for the greeting.  If you love copper we've got copper glimmer paper coming up soon in 6" combo packs.  The 'Christmas' is cut using the Merry Christmas To All bundle.

WEEK 12 AWH COLOUR CREATIONS BLOG HOP: "COASTAL CABANA"

Colour creations

Coastal cabana swatchI've been meaning to play along with this fabulous Art With Heart colour creations blog hop for weeks but got myself organised this time!  Each week we are featuring a different Stampin' Up! colour - in alphabetical order.  The girls are up to Coastal Cabana this week.  You can see the other Coastal Cabana creations by following the link at the bottom of this post.

Here's my card featuring our colour of the week.

Coastal-cabana

Tips and Tricks: It is a gate fold card - use the metric plate on the score board and score at 5 1/4cm from each side.  I've used Sheet Music background stamp for the panels - stamped in Coastal Cabana.  For these big background stamps it is easiest to ink up the stamp and place it rubber side up on the table.  Then place your cardstock panels on top of it and press.  I stamped the 'thanks' from Floral Statements stamp set in the same ink on crumb cake card, and added just a touch of colour with watercolour pencils in Coastal Cabana, White and Granny Apple Green.  Wink Of Stella was used on the letters to add a little sparkle.

Coastal-cabana-2

I look forward to taking part each Tuesday in our Colour Creations Blog Hop.

You can see the other Coastal Cabana posts here on Catherine Proctor's blog.  Isn't it a lovely idea.  Browse back through her blog for the posts for the previous weeks if you love exploring colour creations.

Happy stamping!

If you've got some kids or teens that love to get creative, this is a great product.  You just need Brushos, watercolour paper and a spritzer is handy too.  Just remind them that the powder stains so be sure to protect the surface you're working on and be careful of your clothing.

Heart Of Christmas: Joyous Noel DSP

Heart of christmas blog hop Welcome to the first week of our Heart Of Christmas Blog Hop to help get you feeling festive and organised and inspired for some papercrafting.

I'm excited to be taking part in a special Christmas blog event this year for the Art With Heart team that I belong to.  Thanks to our team leader Claire Daly for organising the hop.

Here's my first Christmas card creation for the year.

Merry-christmas-to-all-card-2

I was cutting some of our new Christmas papers and accidentally cut these ones a little short.  Meant to cut 4" x 6" pieces but I ended up with some 3" and 1" offcuts and thought they'd work together on a card - voila.  The paper is Joyous Noel DSP and it has gorgeous metallic touches of copper here and there.  Love the colours - Tranquil Tide and Merry Merlot are two of the main colours.

Merry-christmas-to-all-card

The ribbon covering the DSP join is a stunner.  Merry Merlot on one side and a beautiful copper sheen on the other.  Isn't it just beautiful.

I've used the Merry Christmas To All bundle for the greeting.  Mix and match the framelit words, and the script and plain stamped words to make your chosen greeting.  The merry is cut from copper glimmer paper - another favourite from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue.  These products are available from September 5th when the catalogue officially goes live.

Merry-christmas-to-all-bundle

Are you all organised at Christmas? I'm usually a last minute scrambler but perhaps if I get cracking each week with the Heart Of Christmas blog posts I'll have a nice stash of cards all set to go in December.  I know I have a few very organised class regulars who get their cards all made early in the year.  One day Susan!
