Tropical Escape DSP and Animal Outing

Rhino-card

The Tropical Escape DSP comes in a handy 6" x 6" size and makes a great leafy background.  There are various designs including leaves, stripes and more all in our lovely greens with some Blushing Bride and Basic Black for contrast.

I've stamped the cute rhino from Animal Outing stamp set and coloured him with the lighter of the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends, adding some extra touches with the darker alcohol marker.

Kangaroo

Here's another variation using one of the other Tropical Escapes DSP (last day for our DSP special today.)

I've stamped the kangaroo in black and coloured him with the watercolour pencils.  In August we have a new batch of pencils in alternative colours to the set in the main catalogue if you'd like to add to your pencil collection.  We've also got the Stitched Season framelits you can see featured in this card.  August only for the framelits and stamp set and while stocks last so grab them quick if you're keen on that lovely stitched edge shape.

Kangaroo-2

A great tip from the talented Tina Gillespie (find her here) is to blend the pencils using the Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen.  Love the touch of sparkle this gives.  (Hard to photograph!)

Happy stamping!

Cheers, Sue

Petal Promenade DSP: Gorgeous Flowers

Petal-promenade-card

Isn't this just beautiful paper.  I can't get enough of it.  Just lovely photo realistic designs on one side with beautiful flowers, and some soft patterns on the other side.  Just add a little greeting and let the paper do all the work.

Petal-promenade-1

Framelit is from Stitched Shapes - a very versatile framelit set to have in the collection.

Petal-promenade-2

Here's one of the other designs - with a sponged edge to soften the white edges.

Have you seen the cute little copper tins we have?  You get 4 tins in a set (shopping link below.)  They're perfect to pop a gift card in nestled on some tissue paper, or to make a set of 3" x 3" cards and package them up in the tin.  Here I've dressed one up with a wrap of Petal Promenade DSP and a copper sticker on the lid.  Tear and Tape is a good adhesive for this - nice and strong.

Last couple of days of our DSP Buy 3, Get 1 Free special if you're keen to stock up on some of your favourite papers before July ends.

Happy stamping!

Facebook Live Every Monday

Hello All,  I hope your July is off to a fabulous start.  We're enjoying school holidays here at our house with lots of relaxing, some reading, a jigsaw or two and a dash of cleaning out junk!  The kids and I were very happy to welcome John home again.  He ticked off a bucket list item with a trip to France with his bike to ride up and down huge mountains.  (BikeNowEurope was the group he went with.  Highly recommended if you're a fit bike riding type!)  He made it up all of them (and made it down in one piece too which was the bit that kept me awake a few nights!)  Nice to have us all home together again.

Switchbacks

In other July news I've finally gotten my L plates with facebook live videos after being asked to do a fb live presentation on catalogue launches in our Leaders Lounge demonstrator group.   Once you get going it is pretty easy so now that I've gotten the hang of it I'll be coming live each Monday with a quick look at something Stampin' Up related.  Catch them live or watch the recording later.  I'll upload them afterwards to my youtube channel if you'd prefer to watch there.  Here's the first couple:

Testing it all out with a look at some of my favourites from the annual catalogue.  Little bit of nerves in this one - can you tell? Wink.

After I've done the video I'll be uploading it to you tube.  If you're ever wanting to check back on anything, I've got all my fb live videos here on this page.

Sue's Videos

Haven't got a firm weekly time yet for my Monday lives - I'm going to experiment the first few weeks this term and see when the light is best then I'll lock in a regular time.  Hope to catch you in video land!
