Saleabration ends Saturday night

Heartfelt-blooms-layered
This is one of my favourite Saleabration stamp sets - Heartfelt Blooms.  In this layered card (inspired by a Brian King creation) I've stamped it in Crumb Cake ink on a Crumb Cake base.  The greeting is in Early Espresso.

Saleabration ends Saturday night so last couple of days to grab your favourite freebie with a $90 or $180 purchase.  Check them out here:  Saleabration freebies

These 6 little notecards feature the Sweet Soiree Memories and More notecards.  Use them in your memory keeping albums or they're also great for whipping up a quick batch of cards.  I've used the small cards here to add to a notecard.  Simply add a greeting and all done.

And Epic Celebrations stamp set is another favourite - featured here with one of my salt background experiments (this time on glossy cardstock.)

Salt Background Technique

Last month in class we got the salt shakers out and tried the Salt Background technique.  Teamed it with the Saleabration stamp set Heartfelt Blooms as our feature layer.

Heartfelt-4

For this technique you need some watercolour paper.  Spritz it liberally with water til it is quite wet (or dab on some water with an aquapainter or wet brush.)  Drip on some ink with reinkers.  We used a few colours.  Now shake on some salt - table salt, rock salt - try out some different sizes or just use whatever is in the cupboard.  Leave to dry then brush off the salt.  The salt absorbs some of the surrounding liquid and draws some of the ink towards it, leaving you with a nice dappled effect.

Here's another example that I used on a notecard with just a simple greeting.

Salt-background

In class we stamped Heartfelt Blooms (Saleabration - free with a $90 purchase) in a coordinating colour.  We had a choice of how to finish it off depending on how much cutting we felt like doing.

No cutting - use the stitched shape framelits instead ....

Heartfelt-dapper-denim

A little cutting ......

The leaves here are from the Petals and More Thinlits.

Or stamp the big flower twice and layer for a more 3D effect.

Which is your favourite?

All of these cards feature our soon to retire set of in colours - Dapper Denim (left), Flirty Flamingo (centre) and Sweet Sugarplum (right.)  Along with Peekaboo Peach and Emerald Envy these colours will be leaving us soon.  Grab your reinkers and cardstock to go with your ink pads this month if you need them as they're likely to be sold out early next month when the retiring list comes out.  (Going off previous years.)

Just a couple of weeks left of saleabration and there's some extra choices for your freebies. Check them out here: Saleabration section

Host code this month is H4F4C9TM.  Add it to your online order and I'll pop a sample in the mail next month.

Saleabration: Party Pandas Are So Cute

Party-panda-stamps

Aren't these pandas just too cute?  I love them.  I've teamed them today with the stunning black and white DSP Petal Passion.  What a cute combo!

Party-pandas-trio

Let's take a closer look.

Party-panda-3

I've cut the pandas with the versatile Stitched Shapes framelits.  The greeting is from the Party Pandas set too and I've punched it with the Classic Label punch.

Not sure if it shows up but I've stamped the panda in Archival Basic Black then clear embossed it for a glossy finish.  (Thanks Carmen from my team for the tip!)

Some Stampin' Blends to add a touch of colour to the hat and the balloon.
