Card Class in a Box

Soft sayings

Keen to catch a class but live too far away or can't make the class times?  Did you know we have a range of different kits?  Some of our kits have all the bits and bobs you need to make the cards, and some have coordinating stamps and inks available separately (or substitute things in your stash if you prefer.)  Some come in a lovely box making them a great gift option for your favourite craft loving friend or family member.

Here's a few of our current kits.  I think Stampin' Up have really done a great job of putting together high quality card kits lately - they're beautiful.

Some Extra Saleabration Items

We've got a few extra items to choose from as our Saleabration freebies til the end of March.  My favourite is definitely the Springtime Foils specialty DSP.  I just got my pack on Friday and it is a stunner.  It has spring inspired patterns with foiled designs in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold - yum!

Use it as a stunning background or add some colour and make it a feature.  Really beautiful addition to your next project.  This pack of 12 sheets of 12"x12" DSP is free with a $90 order.

Another one that a few of my customers have picked already is the Blossoming Basket bundle.  You get the lovely basket stamp set plus the basket weave dynamic embossing folder.  (The embossing folder will be available for purchase in the next annual catalogue.)

Saleabration is quite a good time to do a bit of a stocktake of your stash and see if you need any cardstock, ink refills, adhesives or other basics.

In colour ink pads

In colour 2016 18In Colour NOTE:  Not that long now until the retiring list will come out and we'll be farewelling some products from our range.  I always try to remind my customers and blog readers that Feb/March is a good time to make sure you have all you need in the soon to retire In Colours.

If you've got a soft spot for Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum then make sure you have reinkers for any ink pads, and a supply of cardstock.  We'll be farewelling those 5 colours and the ink refills always sell out 2 seconds after the retiring list comes out so I recommend getting in now to be on the safe side.

Complete speculation:  I'm sorta kinda expecting we may have a full colour refresh of our 4 colour families in the next annual catalogue.  This is completely speculating on my part but they did say when we had the last one that we'd have a refresh every 3 - 5 years and it has been 5 years I believe so I'm predicting a revamp.

If you're a plan ahead type of person - just grab some refills of any ink pads you have.  It is a good idea to order your ink refill when you order your ink pad so you know you can keep it nice and inked up.  A refill lasts for ages.

February Card Class Peek: Salt Background Technique

Art journal Sea saltWe're going to be having fun this month at card class using reinkers, water, salt, watercolour paper and more.

Our technique this month is Salt Background Technique.  You'll get an instruction sheet and will make a sample of the technique at class to paste into a blank book.  Bring along a book to use.

I grabbed this A5 art journal from Officeworks for $6.  (I'll have some spares here if you need to buy one at class.)

Over the coming months we'll be building a great resource book of snazzy techniques.

Here are the dates for this month.  Space left if you're keen to get some craft time happening during February.

Wednesday 14th Feb:  7.30pm - 9.30
4 spots left

(Don't forget this is Valentine's Day if you've got a romantic evening planned!  My hubby is away then so no candlelit dinners here - wink.)

Friday 16th Feb:  10am - 12             4 spots left

Thursday 22nd Feb:  7.30pm - 9.30              This class is now booked out.

Classes are held at my place in Avondale Heights.  Class fee is $25 and includes all tools and materials.  Bookings essential.

Here's a sneak peek at one of our cards from class this month.  You have a bit of choice of colour, and can decide if you're up for a bit of fussy cutting or prefer to just whiz it through the Big Shot.  Wink!

For our other two cards we'll be doing a spot of colouring - one card with our watercolour pencils and one card with the new Stampin' Blends.  Just a little bit this month - we'll have more of an extensive play another month.

Now we'll be getting a bit inky this month so best not to wear white tops!  I've restocked the baby wipes.

Looking forward to seeing some familiar and some new faces at this month's classes.  Give a buzz 0417 377 057 or text/email to grab one of the remaining spots.  Keeping it to max of 6 this month while we try out some snazzy techniques.

Can't make it to class?  After the classes have finished I'll pop an instuction post up here with some step by step pics if you'd like to try this technique at home.

Happy stamping!
Cheers,
Sue
