February Card Class Peek: Salt Background Technique

Art journal Sea saltWe're going to be having fun this month at card class using reinkers, water, salt, watercolour paper and more.

Our technique this month is Salt Background Technique.  You'll get an instruction sheet and will make a sample of the technique at class to paste into a blank book.  Bring along a book to use.

I grabbed this A5 art journal from Officeworks for $6.  (I'll have some spares here if you need to buy one at class.)

Over the coming months we'll be building a great resource book of snazzy techniques.

Here are the dates for this month.  Space left if you're keen to get some craft time happening during February.

Wednesday 14th Feb:  7.30pm - 9.30
4 spots left

(Don't forget this is Valentine's Day if you've got a romantic evening planned!  My hubby is away then so no candlelit dinners here - wink.)

Friday 16th Feb:  10am - 12             4 spots left

Thursday 22nd Feb:  7.30pm - 9.30              This class is now booked out.

Friday 23rd Feb:  10am - 12            4 spots left

Classes are held at my place in Avondale Heights.  Class fee is $25 and includes all tools and materials.  Bookings essential.

Here's a sneak peek at one of our cards from class this month.  You have a bit of choice of colour, and can decide if you're up for a bit of fussy cutting or prefer to just whiz it through the Big Shot.  Wink!

For our other two cards we'll be doing a spot of colouring - one card with our watercolour pencils and one card with the new Stampin' Blends.  Just a little bit this month - we'll have more of an extensive play another month.

Now we'll be getting a bit inky this month so best not to wear white tops!  I've restocked the baby wipes.

Looking forward to seeing some familiar and some new faces at this month's classes.  Give a buzz 0417 377 057 or text/email to grab one of the remaining spots.  Keeping it to max of 6 this month while we try out some snazzy techniques.

Can't make it to class?  After the classes have finished I'll pop an instuction post up here with some step by step pics if you'd like to try this technique at home.

Happy stamping!
Cheers,
Sue
