December 2017

Merry Christmas

Just ducking in to wish you all a very merry Christmas filled with fun, family, friends and festivities - and of course delicious food!

I look forward to sharing more creativity with you in the New Year.  Thanks so much for supporting my little patch of Stampin' Up! during the year by ordering with me, coming to classes, or chatting stamping by email, social media or in person.  I love my Stampin' Up! family of customers, class members, fab team and the demonstrator community.

Christmas decorations

Class regulars - You'll be happy to know we've had the electrician out installing 5 bright new downlights in our dining room so we'll be all set to actually see our creations well at classes in 2018.  When I say bright it is VERY BRIGHT!!   Perfect for card making.  Might have to dig out the candles for dining at the dining table though - ha ha.   Stay tuned for some special project classes in January and regular classes will resume in February.  Dates and details will be in my early Jan newsletter.

I'm about all shopped out for 2017 but I'd better let you know that the clearance rack has had a few new additions in case you're looking for some craft bargains.  Some very inexpensive patterned paper packs there, plus the banners framelits that I just LOVE are a bargain price.  You can find it here:  Clearance Rack

Me - I'm embarking on craft room cleanout number #347 in our quiet post Christmas week.  Wish me luck!  How does it get so messy so quickly?  Hope to be back with some after photos if this organising impulse persists!!

Catalogues were in the post earlier this week so should be arriving for some nice post festivities reading.  If you'd like a copy please get in touch - I've got a few spares here.   Host rewards parcels will be on their way after Christmas.

I think that's all the news for now.  Have a fabulous Christmas/New Year.

Cheers, Sue

Christmas Gift Ideas: Ink Caddy

Sues-gift-ideas

This product is a popular one at this time of year.  Over the past few years I've often had customers who have gotten themselves an ink caddy as a bit of a Christmas gift.  We craft lovers are often fans of a good storage solution aren't we.

Ink caddy

Our colour caddy fits 48 stamp pads and there are trays at the top to hold your reinkers.  (It is always a good idea to get a reinker whenever you add an ink pad to your collection.)   It spins for easy access.

If your ink pads are getting a little unruly - you might like to ask Santa for a Stampin' Up! Colour Caddy this Christmas.

Find it here in my online store:  Colour Caddy

Have a great weekend.

Cheers, Sue

Sponged Background: Northern Lights

Northern-lights-1

Last month at card class we enjoyed making these cards using the Northern Lights technique.  (Card design and technique:  Natalie Lapakko)

The Year Of Cheer DSP is great for this technique with the metallic embossed designs.  We sponged vertical stripes of Pool Party and Lucky Limeade then over the top we sponged Night of Navy and a little Elegant Eggplant.  This was one of those great cards where everyone's turned out differently.

Northern-lights-2

The thinlits are from the Hearts Come Home bundle.  I LOVE the greeting on this card and pretty much bought the stamp set just for that greeting.  Certainly makes my heart full to gather with family at Christmas.  We're seeing my side Christmas Eve and John's side on Christmas Day - can't wait.

Happy Decembering!   I just did a bit of online shopping this morning for my young minecraft addict.  Have left it a TEENY bit late I think for ordering from afar so will be waiting with fingers crossed for the postie van in the lead up to Christmas!

Speaking of which - if you're planning on ordering Stampin' Up! gifts - get orders in early this week to make sure they arrive for Christmas.  Craft supplies are always nice under the Christmas tree.  I love a bit of creating in late December when we have a nice lull in all the hustle and bustle.  My favourite time of year.

Cheers, Sue
