60th Birthday Card: Year Of Cheer Specialty Paper

60 birthday 3

A friend had a milestone birthday last weekend and I made the card for our group of friends.  The Year of Cheer specialty paper can be a Christmas paper but it works really well for other occasions too.  I love the metallic touches.  I've teamed it up here with some Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and the new champagne foil sheets - I can tell I'm going to have to grab some more of them.  Love the soft champagne colour.  The large number framelits are a really handy addition to the stash - so great to pull out for those extra special birthdays.

I pulled out my envelope punch board to make an envelope with another sheet of the specialty paper.  (Once I reminded myself of how to use it.  So easy!)  The card is 6" square.  I made a belly band to hold it all together.  A 12" strip for the belly band doesn't quite go around a 6" card but I used a foil circle to bridge the gap.  That happy birthday framelit is another one that's getting a lot of use here lately.  Here's some more pics.
