Sky Is The Limit Notecard

Today I'm sharing one of our limited time only Saleabration stamp sets.  This one is called Sky Is The Limit and is free with a $90 purchase just until 15th Feb.  I've been enjoying using our little notecards for some January creating.  Just a nice size for a simple and quick card.  (Simple works for me this month while we've been enjoying holiday time.)

Sky-1

Techniques and Tips:  To make the background I punched a cloud with the tree builder punch (well it is a tree top really but it works as a cloud too - handy.)  I used it as a mask and sponged some Soft Sky ink around to make a dappled sky.  Get those scissors out to cut out the plane for a little dimension - or just stamp it straight on for simple.

Colours: Greeting is done in Cherry Cobbler.  Basic Black for the plane.  Soft Sky for the sky.  Smoky Slate for the heart shaped puff from the plane.

Here's another idea from Stampin' Up with this set.  Looks good on the Crumb Cake base doesn't it.

Soaring

Back to work for me this week and back to school on Monday for my two munchkins. - not so munchkiny anymore.  Hannah is in Year 8 and Jack is in Year 5.    Along with creating and doing craft classes, I'm a teacher Tuesday - Thursday. A nice combo of jobs.   I'm looking forward to doing a little number testing next week with students then meeting my newest batch of maths groups children.  I'll be working with each small group once or twice a week to help with their maths skills.  Such a great job - I love it.

If you've got children starting back at school at the moment, I hope their first days for 2016 are very happy.  I got to help out with some new preps starting yesterday - so gorgeous.

Happy stamping!

Cheers, Sue
