Stampin' Up Australia: Retired List Is Up

Retired list pic sue madex

The Retired List is up!  Check it out here:   Stampin' Up Australia- Retirement List

This is where you'll find all the products that will be retiring from our annual (big) catalogue.  Some are discounted.  These items are only available this month while stocks last so if something catches your eye - don't delay.  Best way to order is to order online.

You can order by phone or email and I'll put your order in as soon as I receive them - but I cannot guarantee stock will remain.

Just a reminder that our Occasions Catalogue also finishes up at the end of June.  Some items are carrying over to the new big catalogue but many are finishing up.  Get in touch if you want to check on anything.

I'm ordering my new catalogues today.  If you'd like one - phone, text or email your address details through.

Catalogues are $10 to post or free to pick up.  Let me know which you'd prefer.

Inspire. Create. Share. 2014: Team Gifts

There were 17 Think Inkers having fun at the Stampin' Up Australia/NZ convention this year - our largest group to date.   Here's a look at the team gifts I made.  A little notebook to jot down some convention inspiration - with an added panel made with MDS and printed up on printer paper.  I wrapped it around and attached it with some washi tape.

Congratulations to Kylie - our superstar team member who was walked the stage many times on awards night.  She was 1st in Australia for both recruiting and leadership, and 3rd for sales.  What a stellar year.  We're all very proud of her.

I was excited to receive awards for sales, recruiting and leadership and have a few stage walks during convention - always lovely to come home with some pins to show the kids.  Thanks to all my customers, class ladies and fabulous team who help me get these.

Awards

Couple of busy days ahead but I hope to pop back in soon to share a few more bits of convention excitement.

Cheers, Sue

Inspire Create Share 2014: Convention Wrap Up Part 1

2014_05_22_1847

I'm home again from the annual Stampin' Up Australia NZ Convention:  Inspire. Create. Share 2014.

What a fabulous 4 days - jam packed with inspiration, ideas, new products, creative time and lashings of fun.

Want to share a bit of that?   Here's instalment one of a wrap up of the event.

We kicked off on the Wednesday for the Leadership Day.  Stampin' Up leaders were able to attend an afternoon of great training, then we jumped on the buses to head towards Myers.  Yes Myers.

Here's how it got its' name - the room is filled with these murals of women throughout history.

What a great venue.  One of the largest art deco style ball rooms in _______ (hmm Melbourne or Victoria or Australia, didn't catch the end of that sentence.  Cool art deco room anyway!)  Check out this stunning staircase.

If you're at a Stampin' Up event you are bound to be surrounded by beautiful flowers.

We each got a present, beautifully wrapped of course.

Inside was a lovely lace scarf and a lovely lovely lace background stamp from the upcoming new catalogue.  (Officially realeased in July, get in touch now if you'd like a copy when my boxes arrive in June.)

We had a delicious meal and time to chat with our fellow demonstrators from all over Australia and New Zealand.  Plus a great band and a dance.

Managers-evening-collage

Here's the wonderful group of managers and above from the team I belong to.  What a great group - lovely to have so many of us here this year.

Leadership group 2014

A stellar way to get energised ready for the official convention Day One.

Check back here tomorrow for some more Stampin' Up Convention 2014 snippets.

Cheers, Sue

PS We had dessert too but I was too busy eating it to snap a pic. Mmm, mmmm.   :-)

Stampin' Up Masculine Card

My class ladies and I often comment that we have lots of feminine cards but not many masculine ones in our stash of cards.  So by request I made sure to include a masculine themed card in my May classes.  We used the inked embossing folder for the background. Here's one variation.

Masculine-card-stampin-up

We used Early Espresso ink on the Alphabet Press embossing folder.  The cardstock was Soft Suede.  Soho Subway DSP is a great pack for masculine cards - so many great designs.  We used the versatile Tag Topper punch too.

I've made 5 more cards using the leftover bits and pieces from May classes so keep an eye out for those over the coming weeks.

I mentioned last blog post that I was working on my newsletter.  It is a little delayed as my newsletter program wasn't letting me add any new photos over the weekend.  Can't have a newsletter without pretty pics!  June class dates are up on my class page here if you're looking to book into a card class.

I'm off to the annual Stampin' Up convention tomorrow through til Saturday.  You can reach my via text or email if you're placing orders or have a Stampin' Up question.  I think I'm most excited about having 4 days without saying 'Hurry up.'  That's a bit sad isn't it - ha ha.  Just myself to organise - bliss!

I'll keep you posted on any exciting new snippets from convention.  Now I'd best get onto packing or I'll be wearing the same thing for 4 days.

Cheers, Sue

Stampin' Up: Baby Card

I've got a baby card to share with you today.  This was one of the cards we made at class this month.  (I'll share the baby boy option another day.)

Baby-card-SU-pink

I do love Blushing Bride - such a nice dusky pink colour.  Perfect teamed up with Crumb Cake for a soft baby colour scheme.  Keep an eye out for my next newsletter (just working on it now) for a step by step on how we made the background panel.  There's a sign up box in the top right of my blog if you'd like to get some Stampin' Up news, specials and tips via email.  Just pop your email address in and click go.

SU-baby-card-pink-squares

We used the Baby We've Grown stamp set.  (Details here.)  Stamped in Soft Suede then I picked out a little colour using our Stampin' Write markers - Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.

Baby we've grown

The second smallest of the Squares Collection framelits was the perfect size to cut them out.  (My largest square punch was just a bit small for the Oh Baby stamp.)  Some sponging, lace and pearls to finish.

Always handy to have a few baby cards on hand for those beautiful new arrivals.

What Else Is News?

A few other bits of news from Stampin Up land now that I have a quiet day to catch up.  Our weekly deals are continuing on during May so keep an eye out in my online store for those each Wednesday.  They just last the week.  Here's this week's selection.

There are a few new things in the Clearance Rack too so you might like to take a peek there if you're placing an online order.

New Products:  Photopolymer Stamps

Stampin' Up have just launched their first photopolymer stamps in Australia.  We've got 2 sets available for May only, then there'll be some different sets in the new catalogue (just around the corner.)  Buy the 2 sets during May and you'll receive a free online class.  Our top-quality photopolymer stamps stick extremely well on our acrylic blocks, are durable, and the transparent nature of these sets makes it easier to line up your images without the need of a guide.  Particularly handy for alphabets and borders so keep an eye out for some of those coming soon.

Stampin' Up Project Life 2014 Album

Hello.  I've been having a lovely morning of avoiding all the jobs on my to do list for today (housework, laundry, food shopping!) and doing some digital scrapbooking instead.  I had 60 pages done this year so I'm printing off my Jan - April into a photobook and changing styles/templates from May onwards.   Here's my cover page for my 2014: Edition 2 album.

Project-life-1st-page

I've done lots of tweaking as I had a particular look in mind.  Extra wide white borders on the page and grey matting on the photos and text boxes.  I can give you some tips on how to do this using MDS if you're interested.  I've used the Simply Life photobook template and also the Everyday Adventure Project Life pocket pages.

Project-life-may-week-2

Aiming for clean lines and mostly photos and stories. I so enjoy putting this album together and adding to it each week or so.  I think it'll be fun to look at in a few years time.

Anyone else in a scrapbooking/memory keeping mood this week?   My laundry and fridge are probably hoping a housework mood hits too!

Cheers, Sue

Happy Mothers' Day

Happy Mothers' Day to all the mums out there.  And the grandparents, aunties and other special women in children's lives.

I had a lovely day unwrapping some very thoughtfully picked out gifts from the Mothers' Day Stall and having breakfast in bed.  Then in the afternoon we headed up the highway to spend some time with my mum.  Hannah made some delicious biscuits to take.  Finished off the day with a nice bit of scrapbooking.   Aah - counting my blessings today.

Have a great week.

Cheers, Sue
