Simple Scrunched Flower Card
October 06, 2011
I've been having fun making some more of those scrunched flowers Toby showed me. Here's one on a super simple base. Just black cardstock and the elegant lace border punched strip in Crumb Cake with some narrow black ribbon threaded through.
I used the Timeless Portrait DSP for the scallop circles that make up the flower. There's a touch of blue on the reverse side of the DSP which adds a nice little hint of colour.
The base card would be nice with some clear embossing I think - but then it wouldn't have been quite so quick to put together and this was on a 'quick and easy' day.
I'm having a lovely quiet day today with the house all to myself. John's at work and the kids went to mum and dad's place yesterday for a sleepover. Aaaahhh, peace and quiet. I tidied up yesterday and voila - it is still tidy! John and I went out for a late dinner last night - to Sassy Foodroom on Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds. Nice food, great eclectic decor, friendly service. Loved it.
Have a nice day folks.
Cheers, Sue
Lovely! Love that splash of blue! Thanks for the link to that cool looking restaurant- Might have to try that out sometime!

Gorgeous card Sue, and how lucky to have a night out with John. I almost forget what it's like to eat dinner at an 'adult' time!
