More Creative Elements

I think Creative Elements is having a turn at being my favourite stamp set just now.  Here's the second card we did at Convention earlier this year.

I like this colour scheme - Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and just a dash of Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.  We got the spritzer out on this one for the 'splatter' using a marker.   I liked the effect of scrunching the Not Quite Navy matting piece of cardstock then smoothing it out.  Gives a nice bit of texture in a super easy way and doesn't need any tools.   The Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon is beautiful to work with.  (Just got some in Cherry Cobbler too - yum!)  It is quite fine so you can do lots with it.  I've seen some lovely cards where it has been scrunched and dyed.  Must get some Very Vanilla to dye with reinkers.   Oops I've left a thread hanging - let's snip that off for the next photo.

Hope your weekend is going well.  Jack's wasn't going so well yesterday.  He was busy at the coffee table with paper and textas when he burst into tears.

Me:  What's the matter Jack?

Jack (5):  I was making a book about animals but I accidently did a page about pancakes.

:-)

Happy stamping!

Cheers,  Sue

PS  If like me you're wondering what the Stampin' Up Incentive Trip earners are up to in Fiji this week, Marelle has posted some daily accounts.  Looks like they're having a fabulous time.  Congrats to the 19 girls from Australia and New Zealand who earned the trip this year.
