Rainbow Background Cards - Pastel Version
Christmas Class Sparky Card

July Christmas Challenges!

JULY is here!   I've set myself two blogging/crafty challenges for July.  One is to do a post a day, actually think I'm going to tweak that a little and make it a post per weekday! So stay tuned Mon - Fri during July for a little dose of crafty inspiration and information.

The second is to see how many cards and creations I can make from one I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit.  Here's the kit all laid out.  Hmm, I wonder how many things I can make from it??  Would you like to take a guess??

In the kit (pg 137, $36.95) you'll find:

  • 3 sheets each of 2 different double sided patterned papers - that's 6 sheets in total with 4 designs, 12" x 12"

  • 2 sheets each of Real Red, Whisper White, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip textured cardstock, 12" x 12" once again - so that's 8 sheets in total of lovely textured card

  • 2 sheets each of 3 different pages of self-adhesive die cuts in a festive theme - so 6 sheets in total measuring approx 15cm x 30cm.

I'm mainly going to be using the kit contents, with the addition of some matching ribbon and some simple stamping using Christmas sets in my stash.  Simple designs and techniques for those wanting to make some cards in limited time.

Here is card number 1 to start things rolling ...

Now Christmas In July must be popular as I haven't even sent out my newsletter yet and the seats for my Christmas in July classes are filling daily.   We'll be making 4 cards using a range of  techniques.   Check here for the latest info on dates and available spots.  If the classes fill I'll add some new dates so get in touch if you're keen.

My newsletter will be heading to inboxes over the next few days - just adding some finishing touches.

Newsletter-header

If school holidays are part of your life this week, I hope they've gotten off to a great start.  We've been having lots of fun so far - I love the relaxed pace of school holiday life.  Today we're having a bit of a quiet potter about at home day.  I always smile a bit to see what weird and wacky games Hannah and Jack come up with 10 minutes or so after their, 'MUUUUUM, I"M BOOOOORED' falls on deaf ears.  Well they do say boredom is the mother of invention!

Today it included jigsaws, running laps of the house til they were red in the face then something involving much giggling and lying under the kitchen table with their legs stuck in the air!  Think you might have to be 6 and 2 for that one!

Cheers, Sue

I bet you could make heaps with the Simply Scrappin' Kits, and I also know they will be fabulous! Can't wait to see what you come up with. Yes, definitely 2 and 6 is a good age for legs up in the air under the kitchen table. I probably wouldn't be able to get back up in a hurry as I am almost 49 LOL. They can have that one themselves. TFS your fun!

Hi Sue,
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Simply Scappin Kit.
Your holidays are sounding like fun. Im enjoying mine also..part of today involved queuing up for about 45 minutes with Nadya so she could see Dora the Explorer!!! Lying under the table with legs stuck in the air sounds like heaps more fun.....
