I Wish Kit Challenge: Card 4
July 10, 2009
Time for another creation from my I Wish Kit I think. Here's a card I whipped up quickly today.
This is my 5th card for this challenge and I have a TON of stuff left in the kit. This card is based on Genna's sketch for our July team challenge - loving that sketch! I've used my 1 1/4 " Circle Punch and Short and Sweet stamp set for the greeting. I've popped the circles up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Love the border strips in the kit. They're very forgiving too I find. If I've put it on crooked I'm able to lift it and try again without tearing the cardstock.
Christmas In July Classes - New date:
These are filling fast so I've added a new date - Wednesday 29th July, 7.30pm.
Three spots left in that one. Check here for the latest availability. We'll be making 4 Christmas cards including this one here. Class fee $15.
School Holidays ...
We're enjoying the school holidays here. These days there seems to be such a tendency towards filling weeks with organised, planned events for kids. Its funny I think how sometimes the spur of the moment, simple activities are just as much fun. (And compared to some of the more planned excursions we've had over these school holidays, often involve less queues, less frazzled parents and kids, and less $$$!) Like playing with the box my Stampin' Up order arrived in this morning. Kept Hannah and Jack amused for quite a while decorating it and playing 'Planetariums.'
Or our super simple picnic. Today I was dropping an order off in Williamstown so decided to make an excursion of it and packed a quick picnic and a ball. It was a tad chilly but the kids and I had great fun kicking the ball around, checking out the city views and snuggling up for our cheese and vegemite rolls. Parking: $4 Lunch: $Not much! Getting out and about with my kids in the fresh air: Priceless!
I love the school holidays!
See you Monday! Cheers, Sue
Love the photo of you kids in the box, Sue. And the photo of them running is the park is awesome. Don't they love large open spaces? what a way to release energy and have fun too.
Beautiful cards too. Thanks for leaving lovely comments in my blog. I love reading them.
