Reflecting On 2008 ...
January 07, 2009
This time of year seems to be a time for reflecting a little don't you find? Perhaps it is the more relaxed pace of holiday days that mean we all have time to stop and think.
I've been asking myself a few questions over the holidays about how I've spent my time this last year - not the time that I've spent actually doing things, but the amount of time I seem to have racked up last year just fluffing about - not productively, but not in a relaxing way either.
You know what I mean - playing computer games or watching TV shows that I could really live without or checking emails 27 times .......
This year I'd love to channel a bit of that time into scrapbooking, playing more games with the kids and perhaps even a spot of housework!
I gathered together some supplies and put together an album to help prompt some reflection during 2009. Read some more about it and check out the layouts in my first article for the year over at Aussie Scrapbooking. You can find it here. I'll be writing a piece weekly for Aussie again in 2009. I love the site and check it regularly for a dose of information and inspiration.
Here are a few more pages from the album ..
Supplies:
Here are some details about the products I've used to put the album together.
Patterned Paper/Cardstock: Afternoon Tea double sided pack (12 designs) with the matching cardstock - Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip and Groovy Guava. Makes it very easy to get a coordinated look.
I also used some of our textured cardstock in colours I liked for the last few pages - Purely Pomegranate, Blush Blossom, Bashful Blue and Lavender Lace. I wanted to keep those pages plain to focus on the questions.
Journalling panels: Vellum Cardstock (pg 133) Black Stampin' Write Journaller (pg 150) and Best Friends Alphabet Lower Stamp Set (pg 124) stamped with black Staz On ink (pg 150.)
If you would like information about how to order any of these products, check this page for more details.
Off to play another game of Kerplunk!
Cheers,
Sue
Happy New Year to you, John, Hannah and Jack! Looking forward to 2009 and yet another year of big adventures for our little ones.

I find this album not only beautiful, but inspirational. I think we all need a reminder of the big picture sometimes and this is such a great combination of project and future inspiration. TFS.

Happy New Year, Sue! I hope 2009 brings much happiness to you and your family and many creative avenues for your talents.
Your pages are wonderful - very thought-provoking, indeed, and beautiful at the same time! The time off does give us a chance to take stock (if it is not consumed playing Guitar Hero or even worse one of those addictive word games).
