It is my turn to host the two challenges this month over at StampAMemory, our 'scrapbooking with Stampin' Up! website.'
StampAMemory Challenge 5 is a journaling challenge: Scrapbook A Quote
Do you have a famous quote that means a lot to you? Or perhaps a funny quote from a family member or friend that you'd like to record? I've got scribbled down quotes from my two munchkins that always make me laugh. Include a quote on your layout for this challenge.
You can find all the details for the challenge over at StampAMemory.
Here's my challenge layout.
I get a daily quote through in my inbox each evening from values.com. Some days I read it and just hit delete, but sometimes I come across one that I connect with.
This one came through a few days ago and I quite liked it. The quote reads, 'We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something that we don't have, but rather of recognising and appreciating what we do have' and it is credited to Fredrick Koening.
I printed it on Whisper White then added that strip to an A4 Riding Hood Red. Grabbed a photo that made me happy and built up from there.
Additional supplies:
Riding Hood Red Designer Series Patterns Pack for the strip down the side and the circle.
Pink Pirouette cardstock, edged with Eyelet Border Punch. A row of holes with the Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then some fake stitching with my Ruby Red marker, and some sponging with Ruby Red to tie it all together.
Felt Flowers (from Flower Fusion Too, pg 144) and Earth Elements Brads (pg 149.)
Always Stamp set for the branch and Always image.
1 3/4" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches. Build A Brad (pg 149)
Have fun finding a quote and completing your layout if you are taking part in this challenge.
I look forward to seeing your entries over at StampAMemory, and drawing a lucky name from a hat for the prize: A pack of our gorgeous textured 12" cardstock from your favourite colour family, and a pack of Designer Series Patterned Paper of your choice. (Aust residents eligible for the prize.)
Good luck!
Cheers,
Sue
