Happy February!
A new month means it is time for a new scrapbooking challenge over at our scrapbooking site StampAMemory.
This fortnight's challenge is to scrapbook a layout incorporating the word 'love' in some way.
Check this post for all the details of how to enter the challenge, and for some layouts from the other members of the StampAMemory design team. This fortnight's prize is a heart punch.
Here's my interpretation of the challenge.
Materials used: Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red textured cardstock, Basic Black cardstock, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss Designer Series patterned papers, those gorgeous big white grommets, Stampin' Write Journaller, Jumbo Outline and Simple Serif Mini Alphabet stamps with Basic Black ink.
My family put together an album for me for my 40th and my sister gave me some of the leftover photo collages they'd made using Picasa. When I was hunting through my photo stash for something 'love' ish, this one jumped right out.
I think I spent just as long googling 'love quotes' as I did putting the layout together :-) There are a ton out there but I thought this one fitted the page well. I wrote the words out individually on 3 different pieces of Kiwi Kiss patterned paper then drew a box around each word and snipped them out. I stamped a couple of key words with the Simple Serif Mini Alphabet - a handy one that for small journaling or titles. I popped a few words up on dimensionals too.
Have a great week and if you can fit in some relaxing craft time, perhaps you might like to try a love inspired scrapbook layout for our challenge.
Cheers,
Sue
